I made Shepard’s pie…….and yes…..it was f**king AMAZING!

Finally! Pie #10: Classic Pumpkin Pie!
What comes first? The pumpkin or the pie? THE PUMPKIN OF COURSE! Made from scratch from a sugar pumpkin—it took five long hours of pumpkin labour to make this one. Alongside I roasted the pumpkin seeds and whipped up some homemade whipped cream.

Pie #9: Ginger Blackberry pie for my Grandpa’s 82nd b-day. Happy 82nd, Grandpa, and may the years keep coming at ya!

My glorious cheesecake……so decadent, rich, creamy, and deliciously perfect.

A few days ago my dad bought a pork tenderloin—I was thinking ‘yummmm’….what is he going to do with it?—since he is a fair cook. But he slapped the meat down in front of me and said, “cook it, and make it good”, just like that.
I decided to make a whole feast.
I did a roasted rosemary garlic pork loin, sautéed chard in white wine, a garbanzo bean salad my mother helped make, and last night I baked up a New York cheesecake for tonight’s dessert.
To be honest, I was afraid of cooking this tenderloin. As my family likes their meat, it must be slightly pink in the center. It was a very new experience for me—cooking meat, that is, because I am truly a dessert baker……but with a focused mind, I nailed the pork. It was perfect. And my family had a great dinner.
See? Any night you can cook up a feast!
….just look up a few recipes.
